Augustus von Platen's idylls
Бесплатный доступ
Genre forms of idyll and eclogue have not received an accurate enough and more or less unambiguous definition in literary criticism and therefore the word "idyll", even if it is used in terminological sense, sometimes means very contrasting lyrical, lyrico-epic or lyrico - dramatic forms. The German poet Augustus von Platen makes a popular exception in this respect. Having opposed romantic individualism in literature during the romanticism era, he tried to preserve and cherish genre forms in their initial, antique purity.
