lleospermatic varicocele and its impact on patients' fertility 119 patients suffering from varicocele (including 101 patients with recurrent spermatogenesis disturbances) were subjected to selective retrograde venography of the left external iliac vein. A malfunction of great saphenous vein valve orifice was found in 27,7% of cases, retrograde contrasting of pudental vein and circumflex femoral vein - in 10,1% and of inferior epigastric vein - in 5,9% of cases. Retrograde visualization of external spermatic vein (ESV) and botryoidal plexus met with no success. Antegrade contrasting of ESV when administering the contrast into the left internal spermatic vein (ISV) was observed in 26,9% of cases. Direct intrapelvic anastomosis between internal iliac veins was revealed in 100% of cases. The occurrence of ileospermatic reflux under phlebography was considerably lower than that under ultrasound examination. The group of varicocele patients with fertility abnormalities showed no ileospermatic reflux.
