The urgent problems of variability of social self-identification as the ability for multiple, changing personal identification in collaboration with different groups of social actors. The question of the study variability of social self-identification as a crisis tendencies in the postmodern era. Describes the actual problems of the crisis of social identity in the discourse of postmodernism. Peculiarities of adaptation of modern humans to self-identification in terms of values and fuzzy "semantic reconstruction." Describes the phenomenon of social "psevdoidentichnostey" appears as an adaptive mechanism to instability in the current era. The results of the analysis of popular images, which act as a reference group to follow and create social "psevdoidentichnostey." Considered the archetypal foundation of modern popular image. The question of the modern idea of the complex structural phenomenon of personal image as a set of voluntary and involuntary expressions, the "external" and "internal" components of the image. The possibility of considering the image-construction as an instrument of social identity of the individual in the postmodern era. Image-design is described as a way of understanding the social identity of the person through the allocation of individual narratives of the client in a dialogue with the psychologist-consultant. Follow deconstruction and reconstruction of individual narratives represented as option "linked to the opening of the ordinary meanings of the client" and their variations. Describes the importance of creating a new personal narrative, realized in the "internal" and "external" image of man as a project of its new social identity. Along with this image-construction is seen as a tool that facilitates the identification and clarification of personal meanings for the person, which leads to stabilization of the social identity of the person in the changing socio-cultural space.
