Adjective as the predicate in the Russian and Kumyk languages

In article the general and specific features of the use of an adjective as a predicate in the Russian and Kumyk languages are revealed. In Russian as a predicate short and full adjectives are presented. In Russian adjectives contact the way of coordination determined by a noun, and in the Kumyk language - way of an adjunction. In Russian as a predicate both short, and full adjectives whereas in the Kumyk language the category of short adjectives is absent that doesn't allow to provide the corresponding comparative analysis fully act. Unlike Russian adjectives, adjectives of the Kumyk language as a predicate can have a zero form. All noted testifies to typologically general and national and specific features of the use of adjectives in predicative function.
