Immune hemolytic anemias (HA) are anemia caused by the action of antibodies against red blood cells (RBCs) as a result of phagocytosis, or due to complement activation and is extravascular (intracellular), intravascular or mixed genesis. In the process of accelerated destruction of RBCs are formed their decay products, increases indirect bilirubin in the blood and also it is recorded a positive Coombs test. The immune mechanisms of the occurrence of hemolysis are described in detail, the etiological factors of various forms of immune HA are shown in the presented lecture. In an accessible form, the classification of immune hemolytic anemias is explained in detail. Also, the lecture outlines not only general issues of the clinic, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of immune HA, but also specific forms of diseases. The lecture is of particular interest to hematologists, transfusiologists, internists, pediatricians who improve their qualifications, as well as clinical residents and students of medical universities.
