Imperatives of the food security in the plans of the development of the agraricultural complex of the south of Russia

The article discusses the challenges of ensuring the food security in Russia in the current macroeconomic realities. It is proved that the provision of the national security of the state is largely determined by the regional policy to maintain a certain level of the food security. In this context, the aim of this paper is to develop recommendations for the strategic development of the agriculture in the regions of southern Russia in the context of the objectives of ensuring food security of the country, as well as the formation of the instruments to evaluate the food security in the regions. The key problems caused by external and internal challenges that determine the urgency of the task of food security in Russia were identified.
