The problem of otherness is investigated as a fundamental component of human experience within a philosophical discourse. The one-dimensionality and a paradoxical state of the modern subject update the search for self - other hermeneutic model. The area of the linguistic world image is considered as the scope of meeting with other that at the same time is the identification of self. The scope of the linguistic world image is presented as an antinomy of deepening us in other and obstacle for us to understand it. The analytical research of the profound otherness reflected in J. Lacan’s works (a distinction between the big Other and the little other) allows one to conduct this study using an approach of analectics by E. Dussel in line with such binary opposition as otherness/“other” - totality/the “same”. It helps break new ground of boundary consciousness of the subject, i.e. building of self, that is understood by A. Badiou as the “readiness for the event”, in other words, being able to acknowledge the new possibility only thanks to the presence of other in the transmodernity.
