The article is devoted to etymological and lexical analysis of individual and group anthroponyms in the names of prints on fabric based on the English and German languages. The paper provides definitions for such concepts as: anthroponym, anthroponymy, individual anthroponym, group anthroponym and print. The article presents classification of individual and group anthroponyms in the names of prints on fabric. As a result of etymological and lexical analysis one may come to the conclusion that individual and group anthroponyms in the names of fabric prints in English and German languages received their names after individuals, families and clans who first introduced a particular print on fabric. The names of prints on fabric with an anthroponym refer to international vocabulary, as they are used in two or more languages. The results of the study can be used when composing special courses in onomastics and anthroponymy, also during the compilation of bilingual onomastic dictionaries.
