Individual style in the structure of compensatory competence of a participant of intercultural dialogue

The article considers if it is necessary to include in the foreign language communicative competence a particular component associated with individual traits of a foreign language learner. The authors prove the status and potential optimizing resources of listening comprehension training with consideration of individual style of listening perception of higher school students at the initial stage of foreign language learning. The article describes functional and dynamic parameters of individual style of listening perception. The authors present its functional dynamic parameters and the typology significant for improving the quality of listening comprehension and understanding of foreign speech.
