The phenomenon of «childishness» in the concept of personality in the work of A.I. Hertzen is revealed through the material of the novel «Who is to blame?», the stories «The duty above all» and «Damaged». The author concludes that for the writer's artistic image of the world sacralization of a child in an adult man is very typical.
