High digital literacy and active citizenship contribute to the development of sustainable digital citizenship. To actively participate in digital life, citizens must have sufficient information, be able to find and analyze it, becoming full participants in information legal relations. The relevance of the study of the concept of information and information relations is due to the fact that scientific and technological development affects the change in the methods of informing, obtaining information, and information search strategies indicate the level of digital communication and literacy of citizens. The article analyzes the concepts of information and information legal relations, highlights properties, features, and provides classifications. In conclusion, the author comes to the conclusion about the need to consolidate digital legal values among citizens.
