Information literacy as a digital competence of teachers of a professional educational organization

Digitalization as the mainstream of the modern world requires mastering new knowledge, skills and abilities and digital professions. Increasing the severity of digital competencies of teachers is one of the priority areas of the national program “Digital Economy of the Russian Federation”. The aim of the work is an analytical assessment of information literacy as one of the key digital competencies. The study was conducted in a professional educational organization of the Chelyabinsk region. Research materials and methods: DigCompSAT questionnaire (digital competencies self-reflection tool for citizens), online survey on the Google Forms platform, critical analysis. The structure of information literacy as a digital competence is described. The possession of information literacy (competence) by college teachers was analyzed at the basic and average levels in accordance with the profile of the disciplines taught, the gender and age of the respondents. Critical points in the information literacy of teachers that require managerial decisions have been identified. The prospects for the study are outlined.
