The article deals with the theoretical issues of informatization in the field of education, current problems and prospects of informatization of education. The influence of the use of information technologies on the educational process and its transformation is discussed. Topical issues of informatization of education are considered. The main problems arising in connection with the introduction of information technologies in the educational process are proposed and substantiated.
