Information support for making administrative decisions in the university

The purpose of the review article is to describe the organization of information support for decision-making, aimed at improving the efficiency of the university's activities within the integrated control system (ICS) at Ivanovo State Power University (ISPU). As a part of the ICS, there is supported the information space oriented towards the integrated analytical processing of the accumulated historical data. The information space combines the following corporate data-bases: Accounting and Budgeting, Staff, Personnel, Salary, Student Body, Material Support for Students, Study Workload, Classroom Pool, The Results of Scientific and Methodological Activities, The Results of Extracurricular Activities, Performance Indicators (of teaching staff, academic departments, faculties, the university as a whole).The core of decision support is provided by monitoring and evaluation of indicators, which reflect the financial sustain-ability of the university, indicators of teaching and infrastructure development, performance indicators of the main types of activities, as well as the sustainability of consumers of the provided services. The accumulation and analysis of histori-cal data for the informational support of decision-making is an important component of the automation of the university's corporate management. The decisions cover innovation policy, personnel policy, ensuring the preservation of the student body, organizing the educational process, transfer of the results of scientific activity to the economic sector, etc.This article is important, as it gives the possibility to get acquainted with the results of many years (more than ten years) of work done by Ivanovo State Power University to create a system of information support for decision-making aimed at improving the efficiency of its activities. The results of both Russian and international rankings (in a number of systems the university is in the TOP-100) confirm that ISPU is one of the leading technical universities in the country. In the authors' opinion, a certain merit in this belongs to the strategy of informatization of the university.
