Informative strategy in American political discourse

The article analyses means of informative strategy formation in the communication of American politicians. Quotations representing different types on intertexts are regarded as discursive realisation of three informative tactics appealing to arguments from authorities, documents and the personality of the speaker. The article studies how intertexts contribute to securing persuasion while hiding manipulatory dimension of information.
