The information-and-patent review of the technologies of orthopaedic treatment of patients with gonarthrosis in terms of new methods and devices

The information and patent search on gonarthrosis treatment demonstrated high social and medical significance of the problem. According to the data of literature, traditional methods of deforming arthrosis treatment lead to complications and unsatisfactory results in 14-40% of cases, after using combined athroscopic surgeries such a situation is noted in 6-12% of cases. While working on the problem at Federal State Institution «Russian Ilizarov Scientific Center "Restorative Traumatology and Orthopaedics" of Russian Medical Technologies» nine new methods and devices have been proposed for orthopaedic treatment of patients with all stages of gonarthrosis. The integration of the methods developed into clinical practice has demonstrated their high effectiveness, positive results of treatment have been achieved in 96.8 % of cases.
