Information resources professional activities of modern artists (according to the results of sociological research)

The article presents and analyzing results of sociological research of musicians, artists, actors, writers, aimed at studying the information component of their professional activities in the information. Special attention is given to the interaction of artists and modern libraries are tasked responding to challenges of time, determined by the promising areas of improvement of information and library services of the socio-professional group. Analyzes the relation of artists to new cultural phenomena of the information society. The problems of self-publishing and the protection of intellectual property rights on the results of creative activities in the context of the information component of the professional activities of workers of culture and arts.
