This article analyzes modern types, approaches and methods of activating the cognitive activity of younger schoolchildren in computer science lessons with the help of information and communication technologies. The relationship between the development of cognitive interest and teaching computer science has been revealed, the factors confirming the effectiveness of the use of ICT technologies in the formation of cognitive activity of students in primary school in computer science lessons have been considered. The article reveals the stages of development of the cognitive skill of schoolchildren in computer science lessons using ICT technologies.
