Information technologies as translators of culture and art in virtual reality

In the article, the author analyzes the informatization processes taking place in all spheres of life and activity of society, defi nes the concepts of information systems “Virtual Reality”, “Interactive Art”, “Media Art”, the Internet, with the help of which a person gets the opportunity to work, communicate , gets acquainted with the world values of culture and art. Problematic issues related to the digital security of users are announced, the possible impact of the virtual reality information system on human consciousness, the psychophysical consequences of such a “riding on the waves of the soul” (R. Schroeder), the most important question of the role of a person (personality), what type of person will be formed a new information society, what will be its individual consciousness, character, involvement in the social life of society. Th e article notes that the further development of information technologies, of course, has a positive value, at the same time, scientifi c research in the biomedical and cultural areas that study the impact of these new technologies on humans is important.
