The main idea of this article is to represent information component of university environment as a professional and social adaptation means. The article notes as importance ”environment” concept in the Russian and foreign authors works. There are discover the tendency to use quantitative methods for qualitative conclusions student's perceive to university environment. The special attention is paid the students assessment by students of the information component of educational environment. There are described the results of investigation represent information component of university environment by students of Russian State Agrarian University during 2019-2022 years. The special attention is paid the role of university library in information provide. There are presented the realistic results of student's competence in information field and self-awareness of competence in information field. There are und-lined the means cooperation between teachers and information workers.
