Inclusive socio-cultural space of public libraries for children with disabilities

The article reflects approaches to understanding the phenomena of socio-cultural space and socio-cultural inclusion, gives the author's interpretation of inclusive socio-cultural space, defines its main components that allow assessing the state of the accessible environment in institutions. An attempt has been made to analyze the activities of public libraries of the Russian Federation in the issues of servicing children with disabilities. The work of libraries for 2016-2021 is being monitored based on data from the portal of the Automated Information System “Statistics” of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the results of sociological research on the studied problem are presented. The role of public libraries in the socio-cultural inclusion of children with disabilities is studied, the main difficulties of this process at the present stage of society development are noted.
