Innovations in agriculture: digitalization

For many years, agriculture has occupied the last place in terms of innovation. The article notes that the industry has managed without large-scale technology implementations, but recently digital, information and telecommunication resources have become widespread in the world and in the Russian Federation, active digitalization of the processes of various spheres of society, including agriculture, is taking place. It is established that the effective and systematic use of innovative digital methods, technologies and tools leads to a gradual practical transition to a new level of agricultural production. The low level of Russia's competitiveness in the global digital market is noted. At the same time, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation is testing the project "effective hectare" in pilot regions, which allows to objectively assess the situation in the regions, to increase the competitiveness of the agro-industrial complex of the country.
