Over the past years, the policy of the Russian state in the field of education has been aimed not only at improving the quality of professional training for students of secondary vocational education, but also at educating a competitive personality capable of building their own business in the relevant field of the economy. The development of agricultural entrepreneurship ideas expands the range of research in the field of business-oriented training of students of secondary vocational education, in particular, the formation of entrepreneurial competencies. They provide opportunities for graduates to implement their business projects. The article presents the result of a survey of college students and their parents (legal representatives) on the subject of awareness in matters of entrepreneurship and the demand for business-oriented training in the educational process of the College. The main research issue for the teaching staff is the creation of organizational and pedagogical conditions for business-oriented training of students studying for professions / specialties in the agricultural profile, and the study of the possibilities of such training. The article highlights the social significance of the materials of the forthcoming research and the novelty of approaches to the implementation of business-oriented training of students studying in professions/specialties of the agricultural profile.
