One of the priority tasks of development and improvement of the education system is the search for and effective implementation of new forms of education aimed at the formation and development of the necessary knowledge and methods of activity for students of all ages and levels of education. The article considers innovative forms of education as a means of developing the personality and forming competencies that are in demand in modern society. Innovative forms of interactive learning are considered as tools for organizing cognitive methods implemented in the joint activity of subjects of the educational process. The article defines the concept of alternative innovative forms of education, analyzes the peculiarities and practical problems of introducing innovative forms of instruction in the educational process of institutions of all levels of education
