The article considers the current problem of assessing the eff ectiveness of educational work in higher education institutions in the context of the transformation of the education system. The ineffi ciency of traditional assessment methods and the need to develop innovative approaches are substantiated. Modern assessment methods (quantitative, qualitative, comprehensive) and innovative approaches (competency, qualimetric and digital) are presented. The main principles of these approaches, key competencies, methods of their assessment, examples of qualimetric indicators, digital monitoring tools are highlighted. The author’s integrative model of a comprehensive assessment of the eff ectiveness of educational practices is presented, including competence, qualimetric, digital and socio-psychological blocks. Practical recommendations are given for the implementation of innovative assessment methods in the activities of universities, including the development of key performance indicators, the creation of digital monitoring platforms, advanced training of specialists and the development of inter-university cooperation. The article may be of interest to researchers in the fi eld of higher education pedagogy, heads of educational organizations and practitioners involved in the organization and assessment of educational work in universities.
