The article researches the experience of public organizations in shaping the cultural identity of youth through the study of the culture and traditions of Mongolic-speaking peoples. The introduction substantiates the challenges of forming cultural identity among modern youth in national regions, emphasizing the relevance of public organizations and associations in this process. By applying methods of analyzing existing practices and theoretical research, the study identifies and justifies the experience and pedagogical potential of public organizations in fostering cultural identity and intercultural dialogue skills among young people. Using the example of the successful practices of the regional public organization Buryad Soyo, currently a center of Buryat culture in the Republic of Buryatia, the study highlights the pedagogical potential of public organizations and their role in shaping cultural identity through the study of the Buryat language and writing. The conclusions outline the challenges faced by public organizations working to promote ethnic culture and traditions. The study also suggests approaches to enhancing the effectiveness of supplementary educational programs on native language and culture, which serve as the foundation of cultural identity.
