The article focuses on the relevance of the problem of professional self-determination both directly for a young person and for the country’s economy in general. The significance of well-thought-out and systematic career guidance work of educational institutions of all levels is shown, the importance of including preschool students in it is indicated. The article reveals the content and summarizes the practical experience of the Zlatoust Industrial College named after P. P. Anosov in organizing professional navigation for students of different age groups within the framework of network interaction. Its goal is not only to attract applicants, but also to get students interested in a certain specialty, clearly understanding what they will have to do in their professional life, and having a stable interest in the chosen profession. Within the cluster navigation model, the possibility of moving from a system of career guidance for students to a system of continuous support for professional choice throughout life is demonstrated. The main goal of navigation in the context of a scientific and educational cluster is to help students of different age groups choose a profession taking into account the needs of the regional economy and the labor market, design a professional career and self-development. It is noted that the project developed within the regional innovation platform, causing undoubted interest, is growing with new directions, events and social partners. The effectiveness of the college’s activities in providing professional navigation within the cluster model, the effectiveness of the developed system of events and the built network interaction for the successful implementation of the innovative project “Providing navigation in demanded technical professions for students of different age groups within the framework of network interaction” are analyzed.
