Innovative project “From mastery to virtuosity”

The staff of the State Autonomous Professional Educational Institution “International College of Service”, one of the leading institutions of secondary vocational education in the service sector of the Republic of Tatarstan, was tasked with developing a technological system that would contribute to improving the quality of education throughout the entire educational process. Accelerated formation of professional skills in students through the use of active learning methods predetermined the college’s strategy for training service specialists. The use of the design method ensured the targeted organized work of teachers and employees to find resource opportunities for training a competent specialist. The analysis revealed the extent to which assignments for students, conditions for their implementation, planned and obtained results correlate with each other. To prepare a high-level specialist using synthesis, all components of the educational process were combined into a system. The praxeological approach filled the educational process of professionally oriented mastery with research competence. The cognitive-activity approach ensured a qualitative leap from the reproductive or relay method of “cramming” texts to the possibility of theoretical interpretation of educational material and the implementation of non-standard solutions in production. The experimental work of the college, carried out over six years, was approved at the federal level in the “Professionalism” project. The project helped to build an analytical and diagnostic trajectory in solving the problem of student employment before graduation from college, to ensure control and reflexive monitoring of the experiment at all stages and to influence the innovative development of secondary vocational education. In conclusion, it is noted that the experiment implemented in the college turned out to be in demand by the entire system of training in secondary specialized education. The practical significance of the project is that it ensures the retention of personnel at the average level in the service sector.
