The article is devoted to the issues of professional development, development and adaptation to qualified fulfilment of duties of state civil employees, newly employed by the state civil service in the central office and territorial bodies of the Federal Service for Financial and Budgetary Supervision, objectives, functions and tasks of mentoring, organisational forms of management are defined. Differences of mentoring from supervision, subjective contents of mentoring, professional competence of civil employees who have shown good results in performance of their duties, demonstrated the aptittude towards morale building activities, have authority among the collective and possessing practical skills of fulfilment of their official duties who undergo mentoring are defined.
