Institute of public environmental control in Russia: problems and prospects

The author believes that voluntary and gratuitous public environmental control is an institution, an active civic position. The powers of the subjects of this control are studied, judicial practice is given on the problem of acceptance by the state of the results, admission of organizations to significant processes. The most effective direction of this activity is to assist law enforcement agencies in identifying environmental offenses.
