Instruction to the general post director and other laws of the Russian empire in August 1722

Бесплатный доступ

A brief analysis of legislative acts adopted in August 1722, that is, within one month 300 years ago, is given. The number of laws then amounted to 11 (for comparison: in June 1722 there were 18 of them, in July 1722 - 27). Such an approach to the choice of the object of research, based on a round anniversary date, of course, is reproached to a certain extent, but, nevertheless, it allows a better understanding of the main trends in the historical development of Russian law. The source of the studied acts is the first Complete collection of laws of the Russian Empire (1649-1825).
