The possible ways of integrating formal and informal relations in the practice of managing organizations are described. The feasibility of such integration is driven by the need to aggregate the positive sides of these relations and limit, if possible, the negative ones. A formal attitude ensures the ability of management to control the processes occurring in the organization at all stages of its development, an informal attitude allows these processes to take a democratic form. Formal relationships maintain the effectiveness of the organizational hierar-chy. Informal relations are built on the principles of horizontal cooperation of individuals. The experience of integrating formal and informal relations in the management practice of leading domestic companies is highlighted. The study is addressed to the heads and leading specialists of organizations, mainly in the industrial sphere.
