Communication and interdisciplinary integration in foreign language teaching of non-linguistic students

The relevance of the study is determined by global trends in the development of the modern information-educational space, within which a signifi cant increase in the areas of implementation of integral connections between subjects and phenomena may be observed. The purpose of this study is to consider the possibility of parallel introduction of aspects of the communicative and interdisciplinary approaches into the process of teaching foreign languages to non-linguistic students. In the course of the study, we applied various theoretical methods (analysis, synthesis, induction, deduction, analogy, comparison, classifi cation, categorization), the method of active observation, and the att empt to integrate a pedagogical design technology, namely, the construction of a heuristic model of the educational process refl ecting integral connections of communicativeness and interdisciplinarity in the framework of foreign language teaching to students of various non-linguistic profi les in the light of the theory of interdisciplinary learning, which is an indication of the scientifi c novelty of the conducted study. The practical signifi cance of the study is determined by the possibility of replicating the presented model within other educational processes.
