Integration of education and artificial intelligence in the era of COVID-19: the new opportunities and challenges

The spread of coronavirus infection has changed all spheres of human life, forcing a new look at traditional forms of activity. Education as the most important social sphere has taken the brunt of the pandemic transformation, as a result of which remote forms of teacher-student interaction involving reliance on digital learning tools have become widespread. Due to the need for participants in the educational process in these conditions to operate with large amounts of data and process information in electronic form, the issue of using the potential of artificial intelligence in education becomes relevant. The article examines the new opportunities and challenges of integrating education and artificial intelligence in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic. The object of research is education in the era of Covid-19. The article describes the cardinal changes that took place in the education system during the pandemic period, identifies promising areas for the use of artificial intelligence in the modern educational process and the corresponding problems. It is noted that there is a need to further study the possibilities of integrating education and artificial intelligence in the context of accelerating the processes of digitalization of society.
