Integration of pedagogical science with professional-pedagogical education as a scientific problem

Based on the analysis of the national and international experience, the article focuses on models of interaction between science and education; defines basic directions in reforming the system of higher pedagogical education. Contradictions essential to such integration are given a thorough account.
