Integration of industry, science and industry-related education in view of the "digital railway"

The article aims to reveal the role of "Digital Railway" for the transformation of a mechanism of science, education and industry integration in the "industry - industry-related higher education institution" system. An important condition for such integration is using similar approaches and technologies by an industry corporation and a higher education institution, which are related through scientific and education activities. A symbolic approach in Artificial Intelligence is grounded as one of shared approaches. Its opportunities for the development of hybrid intelligence of the science-education-industry complex are studied. With the shift of attention from the economic and technological aspects of human-machine interaction to the social and environmental aspects, the hybrid intelligence can be implemented in a form of multi-agent system. The core of this system is considered to be a shared resource of industry-specific knowledge represented in an ontology format. Industry-specific knowledge is redistributed between artificial and natural intelligent agents interacting through smart contracts. An attempt to develop theoretical foundations of the hybrid multi-agent system of an industry-related higher education institution was made by a team of researchers from Siberian Transport University, Novosibirsk.
