Integration of theory and practice in the course of establishing of legal education in the USA

This article is devoted to the process of evolution of legal education in the USA, the roots of which are traced from training attorneys in private firms through the end of the 19 th century when Harvard took the initiative to introduce new «case studies» method into the University’s curriculum. Comparison with Russia’s law system is carried out.
