The problem of actualizing cadets’ need of motivation for applied physical training classes is discussed. Key specific features of integrative development approach to sports work-out sessions of the students are formulated: cyclic nature of work-out session with due account of its structure and duration; methodology of individualization based on typological specifics of cadets’ nervous system; regularities and specifics of applying technical and tactical actions of cadets in competition fights. Integrative development approach demonstrates stage by stage progress from supervised activities of the cadets to self-organized work-out session to self-learning and self development. The worked out structural motivation development model in cadets’ sports activities at a military higher school creates success situation with priority focus to motivation bases.
