Integrative processes as a basis for improving quality of training at the translators

The article highlights the topicality of an integrative approach application as a methodological basis in the translators' training system. The author discusses the essence of the translation process and the new role of a translator. Close interdisciplinary relations make it clear that a translator is not advisable to specialise in only one area. Therefore, the main objective of translators' training is an integrative approach, projecting translator's personality that effectively carries out labor activity in different areas of professional specialization. There takes place the expansion of a translator's sociocultural function that includes the possibility to creatively express themselves while finding solutions to translation problems as to what is considered a priority in a given text, and what methods and means to use for efficient translation. Sociocultural mobility of a translator is provided by integrative knowledge. Integrative processes in the translation studies education aimed at preparing such professionals whose translation solution is based on self-criticism, objectivity, and intention to improve professional skills.
