Difficult conditions, caused on the one hand by the accelerated development of new techniques and technologies, the growth of information, the emergence of new branches of knowledge and the order of production for accelerated professional training of workers, on the other hand, pose the task of the pedagogical community to search for new learning technologies. Such definitions as intensification and integration are being rethought. The quote by W. Shakespeare from the book “Mixtape”: “The wisdom of being is economical - everything new here is sewn from old”, directs our gaze into history, where society has repeatedly found tools to solve the issues of intensification of vocational education. The specificity of our consideration of the historical retrospective is connected with finding the regularity of the influence of technological structures on the intensification of the process of vocational education. In the selected historical periods of the emergence of new technological structures, the goals of vocational education, the means of increasing the effectiveness of vocational education, and the result of vocational education are substantively defined. The material obtained by us in the course of the historical study of the process of intensification of vocational education made it possible to establish patterns that affect its goals, to identify factors in the emergence of an economic approach to human activity in society, to define problem-based learning as the basis for the formation of meta-skills (emotional intelligence, time management skill, cooperation skills).
