Intermediality as a means of text comprehension

Бесплатный доступ

The paper explores different ways to explain and study the visual representation in a verbal text as a means to promote its understanding. We examine a number of textual elements both formal and semantic that serve to enhance imaginary visualizations. The description of visual images through verbal means and structural imitation of those images in linguistic medium provides for a new channel of world and experience representation.
