The international and patriotic education of a personality as a sociocultural process

The article reveals the relevance of the national and patriotic education problem of the personality as a socio-cultural process. It analyzes studies on international education, as well as the term «internationalism» and defines features of internationalism. Attention is paid to the unity of interests between the national and international, the peculiarities of inter-ethnic relations in a multi-ethnic society, the essence of the internationalism and the internationalist education, the targets, the connection of the internationalist education with civil-patriotic education. The content side of the culture of international communication is defined. The goals of the internationalist and civil-patriotic education are formulated.
