Internet media as a source of information threats

The growing influence of Internet media as a source of information and a conduit of misinformation requires an examination of the mechanisms by which such platforms contribute to information threats. The inherent difficulty in digital media structures, compounded by the rapid dissemination of content, requires an understanding of their dual role as a disseminator of knowledge and a potential agent of distortion. The aim of the study is to systematically analyse the nature of internet media - examining their role in the dissemination of «fake news», manipulation of facts, and violation of privacy, and to identify methods to counter these threats.
