Webcast of piano concerts as a phenomenon of contemporary culture

The article is devoted to an urgent problem of modern culture - online broadcasting of "concerts without an audience" in the quarantine conditions of the pandemic. The empirical base of the research is the Internet broadcast of piano concerts. Method - a comparative analysis carried out in line with the subject approach of cultural studies. The features of modern online broadcasting of piano music concerts are characterized. The specific difficulties of filming a concert performance of piano music associated with the duration and statics of the event are revealed. The new problems arising due to the absence in the hall of an indispensable participant in traditional concert practice - the public - are comprehended. The resources that are used by the creators of the online broadcast (director and cameramen) in their creative solution have been analyzed. It is shown that the online broadcast of the concert not only allows continuing the concert life in a pandemic, but also enriches the artistic culture. The broadcast, being a relatively independent work of art, significantly expands the audience of the concert and, at the same time, provides millions of viewers-listeners with new opportunities for creative perception of piano music.
