Interpretive commentary as a guide-translator's communicational tool.

The article examines the foreign experience of research in the field of interpretation and interpretive commentary of the guide. The question of factors influencing the interpretation of the guide is touched upon. The requirements for interpretation and interpretative commentary are established. Based on the research of theoretical and empirical works of foreign researchers, the author comes to the conclusion that a strong language training of a guide for confident interpretation of excursion is an important component that can compete on an equal terms with knowledge of culture and history. At the same time, we should not forget that the guide must understand the audience and "feel" it. The concept of interpretation and interpretation techniques are still confused with the concept of translation, believing that interpretation is nothing more than translation of facts from one's native language into a foreign one. However, the concept of interpretation covers a wide range of additional knowledge and skills (nonverbal communication, psychology, sociology, basics of intercultural communication). By combining additional knowledge and skills with a professional language, we can achieve great success in the field of training guides to work with foreign tourists, thereby developing the tourist flow of clients to Russia. The results of the study may be interesting for practicing teachers of foreign languages, developers of retraining and advanced training programs for specialists in the field of tourism, for students of pedagogical universities and for those who are interested in the methodology of teaching a foreign language for guides.
