In this article, we examine the interpretative model of the TRANSLATOR concept and identify the degree of adaptation of this model in the text "The Code of Ethics for Interpreters and Translators Employed by the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia" in Russian. Since the concept was transferred to a structurally different language, the linguistic sign itself also underwent changes, manifested in the phenomenon of symmetry / asymmetry. The work belongs to the field of comparative conceptology and translation. Interpretation is considered as a property of a person, cognition, and communication. An interpretive model of the concept translation is a verbal or verbal-schematic representation of the translation procedure based on the interpretation of the semantic and the cultural components of the concepts. Interpretation presupposes finding an appropriate way of expressing meaning at a given moment in time, in a given context, regardless of the fact that a particular way of expressing thoughts may have different meanings in other conditions.
