Interval training in the development of speed and strength abilities of high school students in a physical education lesson

The article considers studies that show the growth of students' dissatisfaction with physical education classes in educational institutions in the generally accepted traditional and generally practiced form. The issues of the physical development of adolescents are outlined, and, in particular, at the age of 13-14, increasing their level of physical fitness, familiarizing them with a healthy lifestyle, as well as in the search for effective organizational forms of health improvement classes. The features of the use of interval training for the development of speedstrength abilities of 8th grade students in physical education lessons are considered. The characteristic of the interval method as one of the most effective methods of development of speedstrength abilities in schoolchildren is given. The paper presents the results of an experiment on the use of interval training, which contributes to the development of speedstrength abilities in adolescents aged 13-14, which takes into account the agerelated characteristics of the development of students in this age group.
