Investments in the human resources as a dominant of investment process in neo-economics

The article has been written in connection with the lack of a complex definition of the concept «investment». The authors thus consider contemporary interpretations of the given economic category in the light of industrial and neo-economic development. They stress «one-sided» treatment of the notion «investment» in Russia implying mainly investment in physical capital. Predominated importance of investment in human capital is argued with respect to other types of investment. The article provides a comprehensive definition for this category to be used in the academic process for the instruction in disciplines «Economic Theory» and «Macroeconomics». It underlines necessity of investment policy mechanism transformation in neo-economy.
