The offered work is devoted to questions of formation of engineering competence of bachelors-builders of the educational organization of the higher education. The analysis of definitions «competence», «professional competence», «engineering competence of bachelors-builders» offered in scientific and pedagogical literature is submitted. Types of professional activity of the graduate who has mastered the program of a bachelor degree are designated. Components and criteria of formation of engineering competence of bachelors of construction branch are installed.
