The article discusses hippotherapy as one of the means of rehabilitation of children with disabilities. This is a comprehensive method based on the interaction of a child with a horse while performing exercises under the guidance of a trainer. Indications for hippotherapy are listed, and the benefits of exercise for a young body are determined. The authors presented an experiment to determine the effectiveness of a set of hippotherapy exercises for the correction of movement disorders in children aged 10-12 years with cerebral palsy. The subjects were tested on the following indicators: hand dynamometry of the right hand, the ability to hold a standing position, raising and lowering the body in one minute. It has been experimentally proven that hippotherapy classes for such disorders help improve motor abilities in children and facilitate social adaptation.
